Benjamin C. Johnson papers, 1858-1887.

Letters written to relatives describing his military experience, chiefly in Louisiana and Alabama. He describes the siege of Port Hudson, and one letter includes a sketch map of the lower Mississippi Valley. The collection also includes other family correspondence.
